book shop policy

thank you for supporting our independent book shop. please read the following carefully before placing an order. by ordering, you agree to these terms.

all products sold through this website are made to order using a print-on-demand service. because each item is produced specifically for your order, all sales are final. we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed.

if your item arrives with a verified manufacturing defect, printing error, or damage incurred during transit, you may be eligible for a replacement or refund. to initiate a claim, you must notify us in writing via email at contact@alexandreaoneill.com within seven calendar days of delivery. please include:

• your order number
• a clear description of the issue
• photographic documentation of the defect or damage

requests submitted outside the seven-day window or without the required documentation may be denied.

refunds or replacements are issued at our discretion and only in cases of confirmed defects or shipping damage. we are not responsible for issues resulting from customer error, including but not limited to incorrect shipping information or formatting selections. shipping costs are non-refundable unless the issue is caused by a verified printing defect or fulfillment error.

please note that book orders may require up to two weeks for production prior to shipment. by completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept these terms and understand that each item is made specifically for you and designed for quality over mass production. we reserve the right to update this policy at any time.

cake shop policy

thank you for supporting our seasonal, from-scratch cakes. please read the following carefully before placing an order. by ordering, you agree to these terms.

each month, one limited-edition seasonal cake is released and displayed on our website. this happens on the first of every month. cakes are produced in limited quantities. at this time, special requests are not accepted. all cakes are made using the designated recipe and design as listed, with no alterations.

cakes are available for pickup only. delivery is not offered. all pickups take place in the campbell, california area. pickup dates and pickup time windows are pre-designated for each monthly cake and will be listed on the product page at the time of release. customers must select from the available pickup options when placing their order. once a pickup date and pickup time are selected at checkout, they may not be changed. no refunds will be issued for changed plans. availability is closed once a pickup slot sells out.

pickup locations are nonnegotiable and will always be in a public space located in campbell, california. for safety and privacy reasons, the exact pickup address will be sent via email after your order has been placed and confirmed. the predesignated pickup location may not be changed. no refunds will be issued if you are unable to pickup the cake in campbell, california. 

please arrive on time for your selected pickup window. pickup windows are 30 minutes in length. if a cake is not picked up within the designated window, we will leave with the cake and no refund will be issued.

a valid government-issued photo id is required at cake pick up and must match the name of the person who placed the order through the website. if someone else will be picking up the cake, the person who placed the order must email contact@alexandreaoneill.com in advance to confirm this change. the email must include the full legal name of the person picking up the cake. that person will be required to present a valid photo id at pick up.

all sales are final once an order is placed. refunds or exchanges will only be issued if we make a mistake with your cake, such as the wrong flavor, missing components, or another shop error. if you believe a refund is warranted due to a shop error, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup so we can review the issue and determine the best resolution.

all cakes contain wheat, eggs, and dairy unless otherwise specified. our kitchen also processes peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and other allergens, so cross-contact is possible. please order accordingly if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

cakes are perishable and should be refrigerated immediately after pickup. store them in a covered container or cake box to prevent drying out or absorbing other odors. cakes containing fresh fruit or whipped cream are best consumed within 24–48 hours. for layered cakes with buttercream or ganache, allow them to come to room temperature for 20–30 minutes before serving. cakes with fresh cream, fruit, or delicate frostings should not be refrozen.
